04th Mar: Braze Integration, Customer.io Integration, Shopify oAuth Update and more

New and noteworthy

Braze Channel Integration

We’ve added Braze as a new customer engagement channel within EdgeTag. This integration enables server-side synchronization of user profiles and events directly with Braze. Teams can now trigger campaigns and messaging workflows using data collected through EdgeTag. By sending events and user updates in real time, this integration helps businesses activate more personalized marketing experiences. It also expands the list of supported marketing automation platforms available to customers.

Customer.io Channel Integration

Customer.io is now available as a supported customer engagement channel. This integration allows events and customer data collected through EdgeTag to be synchronized with Customer.io for automation and lifecycle marketing. Businesses can now trigger personalized messaging, campaigns, and workflows based on real-time customer behavior. The addition further strengthens EdgeTag’s ecosystem of supported CX platforms. Customers using Customer.io can now manage their engagement workflows more seamlessly.

Custom Tag Rules – Multi-Domain Support for WordPress

We’ve enhanced our Custom Tag Rules framework to support tracking across multiple domains for WordPress. This improvement is particularly useful during domain migrations or multi-site setups where events need to be collected from more than one domain. Events from different domains can now be unified into a single dataset without duplication. This ensures continuous tracking while businesses transition between domains. Customers can maintain data consistency and avoid disruptions in analytics or campaign tracking.

Shopify CRM API Authentication Upgrade

Our Shopify integration has been upgraded to support Shopify new OAuth-based authentication model. Instead of relying on permanent API tokens, the system now securely generates and refreshes short-lived access tokens automatically. This improves security while ensuring continued compatibility with Shopify updated platform requirements. The token lifecycle is handled automatically, preventing authentication interruptions. Customers benefit from a more reliable and future-proof Shopify integration.

Event Drop Monitoring for Lead Events

Event drop monitoring has been expanded to include Lead events. Previously, monitoring primarily focused on purchase-related events, which limited visibility into other important conversion signals. With this update, EdgeTag can now detect anomalies in Lead event tracking as well. This helps teams identify data flow issues earlier and maintain reliable marketing data. The enhancement improves overall monitoring coverage across the event pipeline.

WickedReports is Now Available

This enables businesses to connect their marketing data with WickedReports for deeper attribution and performance analysis. Customers can now access these insights without requiring special administrative access. The change simplifies setup and ensures more teams can benefit from advanced marketing analytics. It also strengthens EdgeTag’s integrations with attribution and reporting tools.
