Let's review all the fields in the form and how to use them while adding the ActiveCampaign channel.

Account ID

Account ID is unique numeric identifier that represents your specific ActiveCampaign account in their system. ActiveCampaign uses this ID to route events to the correct account. When EdgeTag sends events to ActiveCampaign's tracking endpoint, this Account ID is included in the request payload to identify which account should receive the event data. Event Key

Event Key is a secure authentication token that validates your identity and authorizes EdgeTag to send events to your ActiveCampaign account. This key ensures that only authorized applications can send events to your ActiveCampaign account, protecting your data and preventing unauthorized access. EdgeTag includes this key in every HTTP request to ActiveCampaign's event tracking API to authenticate the request and prove that the events are coming from your authorized integration.

Where can you find the Event Key in ActiveCampaign? Event Key can be found in the ActiveCampaign Dashboard under Website → Site Tracking → Event Tracking

Make sure event tracking is enabled in your ActiveCampaign account.

Account Name (optional)

Account Name is your ActiveCampaign account's subdomain, used to reach ActiveCampaign's v3 REST API. For example, if your API URL is https://myaccount.api-us1.com, the Account Name is myaccount. This field is only needed if you want events delivered as Custom Object records instead of the contacts' Events feed. Where can you find the Account Name in ActiveCampaign? API Key (optional)

API Key is a secure authentication token for ActiveCampaign's v3 REST API. EdgeTag includes this key in every request when writing Custom Object records, looking up contacts, or creating contacts. Schema ID (optional)

Schema ID identifies the Custom Object schema that event records are written to. The schema must contain a text field with the ID event-name, a text field with the ID event-data, and a contact relationship named primary-contact. See the onboarding guide for how to create the schema and obtain its ID.

When Account Name, API Key, and Schema ID are all provided, events are written as Custom Object records — the contact is matched by email (and created automatically if missing). If any of the three is left empty, events are sent to the Events feed using the Account ID and Event Key.

Custom Objects require an ActiveCampaign Enterprise plan.
