# ConsentIQ

The ConsentIQ skill covers consent analytics and management within EdgeTag. It helps you understand and monitor marketing consent rates, regional compliance, and consent trends.

{% hint style="info" %}
ConsentIQ requires the [ConsentIQ Shopify app](https://apps.shopify.com/blotout-consentiq) to be installed.
{% endhint %}

### What it covers

* **Consent analytics** - Tracking marketing opt-in/opt-out rates over time
* **Regional breakdown** - Consent rates by region (EU, UK, CA) for GDPR and CCPA compliance
* **Category breakdown** - Per-category consent analysis (marketing, analytics, sale of data, preferences)
* **Trend analysis** - How consent rates change over time
* **Installation** - Setting up ConsentIQ on Shopify and via the API

### When it triggers

The skill activates automatically when you mention:

* ConsentIQ, consent analytics, or consent rates
* Opt-in/opt-out rates or marketing consent
* GDPR consent tracking or CCPA consent monitoring
* Consent breakdown by region or category
* ConsentIQ installation or setup

### Example prompts

* "What are our marketing opt-in rates in the EU?"
* "Show me how consent rates changed this month"
* "Compare opt-in rates between EU and US visitors"
* "How do I set up ConsentIQ on my Shopify store?"
* "What percentage of UK visitors opt out of analytics?"

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.edgetag.io/mcp/skills/consentiq.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
