### What is **Google Pub/Sub**?

**Google Cloud Pub/Sub** (short for **Publish/Subscribe**) is a **messaging service** on Google Cloud. It’s designed to enable different parts of your system to **communicate asynchronously** by sending and receiving messages at scale.
